In order to support the development of a critical mass of people with quality improvement expertise, First, Do No Harm has adopted the Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IHI) Breakthrough Series collaborative and plan-do-study-act (PDSA) methodology as a key strategy to drive change in acute and residential aged care settings and formed a regional ‘Falls and Pressure Injuries Collaborative’.

The First, Do No Harm campaign team supports change in participating residential aged care facilities and organisations with learning sessions, supplemental workshops, coaching and mentoring of teams, access to subject matter and improvement experts, provision of improvement tools, highlighting success and the sharing of learning across the Northern Region.
